Glisk
Free on Android

Your life, unedited.

Glisk is an old Scots word for a quick glance. Film thirty seconds of whatever is happening right now. Shaky hands and bad light are fine. Over time these little clips add up to a record of how your life actually went.

Create film

It doesn’t have to look good.

Don’t wait for good light or fix your hair first.

Shaky hands are fine. So is background noise, or a laugh that gets cut off halfway.

You don’t have to rewatch it ten times or film it again.

There are no likes here. It’s for you, a few years from now.

So just film.

30 seconds max

The timer stops at 30 seconds. That’s enough to catch the moment without turning it into a production.

Sorted by day

Each clip goes to the day you filmed it. There’s no feed and no followers, just a calendar of your days.

A film of the month or year

Pick a month, a year or a few days, add music if you want, and Glisk joins the clips into one video.

Stays on your phone

No account, no cloud, no ads. Nobody sees your clips unless you send them.

Questions & answers

Is Glisk free?

Yes. It’s free on Android and has no ads.

What does “Glisk” mean?

It’s a Scots word for a glance or a glimpse. It felt right for an app made of short clips.

Why are there no filters or effects?

We want the clips to look the way the day looked. Bad light and a shaky camera end up being part of what you remember.

Why only 30 seconds?

Short clips are quick to film and easy to watch back. Even a whole year of them makes a film you can sit through.

Are my videos uploaded anywhere?

No. Recording, storage and editing all happen on your phone. There’s no account and no cloud, so nothing gets sent to us or anyone else.

Can I add music to my film?

Yes. Pick any audio file on your phone, choose which part of the song plays, and decide whether to keep the clips’ own sound.

How do I keep or share a film?

Save it to your phone’s gallery, or send it from the usual share menu.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Glisk is Android-only for now.

Your videos stay on your phone.

Glisk records, stores and edits everything on the device. We don’t run servers, there’s no sign-up, and we don’t collect analytics.
